Mount Faber Walk and Lunch!

My parents had friends from Belgium over for the
weekend and to help me get over jet lag, we all went for a walk up Mount Faber to reach the cafe at the top of it to have lunch.

As I've said before in a previous post, I've started posting daily "outfitfortoday" instagram pictures so I put one up before the walk and I thought I'd post it on here as well (I'm a total poser, I know).

It was soo hot so the walk felt even longer than it actually was. I actually got sunburnt on the back of my neck :/ How embarrassing! One day in Singapore and I'm already sunburnt!

Lunch was really good. I had the oven roasted chicken with a curry sauce (which is in the red saucer) and it was on a bed of mashed potatoes (which you can't see in the picture). It was really good and I ate every single bit of it. So yummy.

I was meeting Ashleigh after lectures one day and we decided to go out for lunch cause we were both starving and I suggested Tribeca. It was a great shout.

I didn't make the same mistake I made last time we went and have a milkshake as well as a meal, so I just stuck to a lemonade. I chose the french toast with a side of bacon and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G but oh my goodness, their portions are unbelievably big. Like, proper American sizes. I could only manage about one and a half pieces of bread (and all the bacon of course).

If anyone lives in/is going to Glasgow, you definitely have to go to this cafe!

Dinner with the sister!

Whenever I meet up with my sister we always just stay in at her flat and lounge on her couch and eat and watch tv. Don't get me wrong, we both love doing that, but we decided that we should go out for dinner and drinks one night. So, last week I met her after work and we went to this tapas restaurant called Cafe Andaluz. I've been there before and it was amazing so I was so excited to go again.

We had a bottle of wine and there was a deal on where you got 3 tapas dishes and a dessert each for £14. I chose chorizo, duck and lamb meatballs and a caramel cheesecake and it was all absolutely delicious. I was so full by the end of it though....

There are some tantalising pictures for you guys to drool over... if anyone is in Glasgow or is ever going there to visit, I highly recommend this place!

New Dress!

So I got a new dress from Missguided! I saw it before Christmas and I've been waiting for ages for it to come back into stock in my size and it finally did so I had to buy it! Of course I posted a picture of it to Instagram (i'm a little obsessed with Instagram...) which made me think about starting a fashion Instagram page so I've been posting pictures everyday of my different outfits. I'm thinking about starting a new fashion tumblr page so if I get around to it I'm going to post the link on here for you guys to check it out :)

I'm back! With Lasagna Soup!

I'm back! I haven't posted anything in a while because my laptop has been broken [ sad times :( ] but it's fixed now! And guess what? I'm back in Singapore for Easter! I got jumped on by my brother and sister this morning when I came downstairs and my dad managed to get a picture of it :)

I have a lot to catch up on since I haven't posted anything in a while so I'll be doing a few posts. Firstly, I made a delicious lasagna soup a week ago. It was amazing. Although it kind of stops being a soup after a while and just turns into a pasta, but it's still delicious. And it's really easy to make! Here's the link for the recipe [and a picture]:

Homemade pizza!

Me and Ashleigh decided to make homemade pizza tonight cause one of our other flatmates, Jacob, gave us one of his dough packets. It's really easy, you just add water to the packet and knead it until you make a dough and then roll it out. We topped it with a cheese/tomato sauce, grated cheddar cheese, sliced mozzarella cheese, sliced bits of meatballs and slices of chorizo.
It was literally so amazing. It was one of the nicest pizza's I've ever had. The cheese got all gooey and melted and the chorizo was delicious. It was just so yummy. Definitely recommend making your own pizza and trying these toppings. We were talking about it and we thought that chicken tikka would be a good topping so we might make that one next time :)

Sun's out!

So the sun came out today (which is quite unusual for Glasgow) so I decided to paint my nails a nice bright summer pink colour :) It was one of the Ciate nail varnishes that my sister and her fiance got me for christmas, and it was called Cupcake Queen. Sounds and looks very girly but I like it :)

Me and Ashleigh also decided to go and get some cider's to get into the summer mood which was nice :)

Cauliflower Lasagna!

So I decided to make a healthy dinner for me and Ashleigh tonight and I made a really yummy cauliflower lasagna. It's really easy to make and doesn't take long at all (it has to cook for 40 minutes but the actual preparation time itself doesn't take long).

It was filling and yummy and healthy and there was enough for leftovers tomorrow :)

Looks pretty good, doesn't it?

Here's the link to the recipe if anyone wants to make it :)

I met up with my Grandma, sister and cousin today for lunch. We were supposed to be meeting at 12 but when I woke up I checked the time and it was already 12:17 and I had about 5 missed calls and 10 messages. It was pretty stressful trying to get ready and get there, but in the end I was only 45 minutes late (which is pretty bad, but it could have been way worse).

Every time I meet up with my Grandma, we always go to Zizzi's. I got the Strozzapretti Pesto Rossa which is spicy piccante chicken with red pesto, creme fraiche and spring onions and it was amazing :) Posted a picture below for you guys to drool over.
